Where's the Math!?

HEY MATHEMATICIANS!

We are so excited to be able to interact with you here on our website!  Check out the picture below and tell us about the math you see.

We can't wait to read all of your wonderful mathematical thinking!

Check back each week because there will be a new picture!

Lucas says they all have tails, floppy ears, and two eyes. He doesn’t think that the bottom left belongs because it is too tiny. He also said the bottom right is too stretched and wide. And the top right has too many spots! He was very happy when I told him this activity was from Mrs. Young!

They all have ears,tails,2 eyes, a nose and 4 legs. The top left is different because it is facing a different way. The bottom right looks longer then the others. Bottom left is smaller then the others. Top right has dots. Cadence misses you Mrs.Zwolenski!

The difference between them is that one is big, one is little, one has polka dots, and one is long. They are all the same by being the same animal, a dog.

Mackenzie, thinks that the dog with polkadots does not belong because none of the other dogs have polkadots. One of the dogs is very small, so he is different from the others too. All the dog have two ears, two eyes and 1 tail, none of them have whiskers. Thank you for this fun activity!
